Working =)

After two months of arriving The United States I started to work as a packer in a supermarket.  I worked there the seven days of the week after school.  It was a nice experience because I never thought that one day I would work in a supermarket because when my parents went to the supermarket to do shopping I never went with them because it was the worst for me.  A year later I decided apply in Target, where I started to work in the summer of 2008 as cashier.  I was scared because I know that I have to speak more English than I used to speak at the supermarket, but it was fine because one of the girls that works there helps me a lot with my English and after a few weeks I started to feel more comfortable.  After six months later I started to work at Starbucks that belongs to target.  It was very fun working there because it was a nice experience to learn how to make the different kinds of coffee that they have.  When I started working there I always started the day taking my favorite drink that was caramel machito.  Two years later I started to work in a dental office.  Working in this office has been great because this job is closer to what I want to be.  The people that work there make me feel very comfortable and it is very important for me.  I hope to get a lot experience there because it will be very helpful for my career as a dentist.

  1. Hey!
    I work at a supermarket myself and I have to talk so much! Every day tons of customers come up to me and ask me questions about products. Do not get me wrong I really enjoy talking to all those people!

  3. It is good for you to practice your English in a place that forces you to speak in this language, we don't do anything if we only look for latin places!
